We are not yet living the minimalist #vanlife as our first trip is to meet up with the family of @themathscaptain at their beach house. So, we are carrying booze, an esky full of fridge emptied food, a boat shaped shelf, plants, #mrfrosty, a sewing machine, fabric, a #scythe and matching scythe art. via Instagram http://ift.tt/2C0hRCF

Post-Solstice reflection. My northern acclimatised legs are still pale in this southern Summer Solstice. Moving between micro and macro climates. On the shadow side there is cool soft and moist grass, that already hit by the morning’s sun was crunchy and brittle.
Ritual needs space and time and I am adding to my calendars and making appointments with myself so I can better acknowledge the cycling of seasons.
Some midsummers require burning, but maybe in Australia a better observation is to watch the melting of ice and its eventual evaporation?

Over in Western Australia @themathscaptain bought our transport and home for the next months – a very groovy camper van with incredible upholstery. Its an older Hiace running on diesel, so if we like it we may keep it on for future conversion to vegie oil.

I’m thinking that we should name it Jaffa? via Instagram http://ift.tt/2j9g6ar
