While I’m on the road and property hunting in the South West of Australia, I’m teaching permaculture modules online and “on-earth” @fair_harvest_permaculture. I’m contributing a video module on designing for catastrophe to an online PDC taught by dozens of experienced and up-and-coming permaculture teachers*. My final video has been filmed – “tripods” so far have included totem tennis poles with laundry line and here a power line and string. * did I mention that the teachers are all _women_ from around the world? So nice to show the power and knowledge with all of these permaculture sisters. #permaculturewomen #permacultureteaching #teleprompter via Instagram http://ift.tt/2FVAVjT

Post-Solstice reflection. My northern acclimatised legs are still pale in this southern Summer Solstice. Moving between micro and macro climates. On the shadow side there is cool soft and moist grass, that already hit by the morning’s sun was crunchy and brittle.
Ritual needs space and time and I am adding to my calendars and making appointments with myself so I can better acknowledge the cycling of seasons.
Some midsummers require burning, but maybe in Australia a better observation is to watch the melting of ice and its eventual evaporation?
